  • Wondeful place with lots of coati mothers and babies running around in groups, totally unafraid. We saw a sloth, crocodile, monkeys and lots of birds. We swam by a waterfall and forded rivers - amazin...  more »

  • Really enjoyed my time in the national park. The rangers/guides pay close attention to no letting anyone feed the animals or influence they in any other way. Great experience to just see them in their natural habitat and not have them running at you and begging for food. We did an 8 hour tour and saw lots of different animals and species. Poison dart frogs, Tapir, 4 different species of monkeys, snakes, butterflies, anteaters, spiders and so many more. Definitely recommend going. You need a guide to enter though which makes it a bit of a pricey pleasure.
  • Best National Park to spend your time in. Not too many people, easy (sometimes muddy) ways (some parts at the coast in the sun and some in the forrest with shadow) and a lot of biodiversity. I saw more there than in other parks in costa rica. I recommend it 👍
  • I was only able to access this national park by tour (on a boat). It’s definitely worth going with a guide as they use a telescope and you’re able to take pics of what you’re seeing through the scope lens. It’s long tour, and if you’re in the heat, it’s definitely not suitable for young children. I still enjoyed learning about all the different species of plants and animals and getting excellent pictures. I would highly recommend this tour in Drake Bay, over other land tours.
  • Pretty cool visit. It's a long way out to the park. That means it's relatively untouched, very wild feeling. We saw some crocodiles and macaws etc. I wish we could have seen more wildlife, but that's the way it goes with nature, never certainty.
  • A beautiful NP you definately have to see when you're in Costa Rica. We booked our tour by Pacheco tours and was really lucky about this adventure.
