#1 of 2,121 in Spas in Japan
Take a dip in one of Japan’s oldest bathhouses, Arima Onsen, a hot spring resort in a scenic mountain setting. Mentioned in documents for the past millennium, the resort offers two public bathhouses and a number of inns that feature baths for non-staying visitors. Explore the small town, check out the hot springs museum, or sample cookies made with mountain spring water. Have a traditional onsen experience and bathe in two types of hot spring waters: the “gold,” which is rich in salt and iron, and the “silver,” which contains radium and carbonate. Using our custom trip planner, Kobe attractions like Arima Onsen can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

  • Arima Onsen is the premier hot spring in Kansai. It is a hot spring area where you can enjoy both Kinsen and Ginsen. Unfortunately, the day when the bathhouse of Kinsen went out did not enter by the closed day.

  • It was my first visit in April. The center of the hot spring town is crushed with sweets and snack shops, souvenir shop, etc. that become a meal place and snack. There is a source in several places and it is very attractive that steam is blowing out. It is not so wide as a hot spring town, the slope is not tight, and the crowd is considerable though the elderly person and a small child seem not to be too spicy. The taste of the freshly fried "karrintou bun" which I ate here is too delicious to be forgotten. I think that it is good to ask the person in the shop because it is important whether it is fried.
