SpaWorld, Osaka

3.7
#1 of 18 in Spas in Osaka
Bathe in the hot springs of SpaWorld, a vast onsen-style bathhouse with two themed floors used by women and men interchangeably, depending on the month of the year. When bathing in the European zone, you can enjoy spa activities, such as the Finnish sauna and ice baths, before trying out the Greek mud bath or relaxing on a submerged deck chair in the Mediterranean pool. Similarly, in the Asian zone, you’ll find a traditional Japanese bathhouse, Persian milk baths, and Balinese massages. Clothing and tattoos are prohibited in the baths, although you can wear swimsuits in the mixed-gender pool and baths on the top floor. Plan your visit to SpaWorld and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Kita trip maker site .

  • On my last visit to Japan, my friend took me to the public baths in his city. When I told him I wanted to visit the baths again, he said that there was a much bigger one in Osaka. We went here and enj...  more »

  • If you are comfortable with walking naked from bath to bath which you will be after about 5 minutes this place is worth the visit. The bathes are split over 2 floors with one floor being for men and t...  more »

  • This place is pretty unique. There are two different spa floors (Asia and Europe themes) each floor is gender specific and they change floor assignments every few days. There is also a common floor you can meet at in robes to have a drink or eat. I was on the Asian themed floor. There were many hot tubs and also see saunas witht a cold tub. There is even an outdoor area with spas and a place to get drinks.
  • Great place to spend an entire day or even a couple of days! The pool isn't made for hard playing, but it's great for a relaxing place to hang out or to take the kids. How much they charge you on top of the entry fee to ride their really short waterslides is robbery, though. Honestly, everything they sell inside is way too expensive. The baths are amazing. Every month, the genders change between the European and Asian baths, so that adds a lot of variety to the already massive selection of baths in each side. It's really fun and relaxing to go around and try each bath, relaxing in between at the convenience rest locations. Just a warning, the Japanese style outdoor bath is in full view of the upper floors of the Harukasu building.
  • To be fair, we didnt fully do our research Tattoos are very strictly prohibited here. My friend and I admitted to our tattoos and shortly left after. We were not allowed a refund because we were there for 30 minutes (29 minutes to be exact). You HAVE to be completely nude, so... be ready for that. Otherwise it looks fun. Our guy friends who do not rock ink probably stripped down and enjoyed it. So, I suppose it's worth the Y1200
  • Soooo much variety they have different areas Greek, Roman, Swedish & a herbal area with bright artificial looking green water and a mud bath area (which is muddy water that you cover yourself with not thick mud. Then wash it off) and tubs. That is the European area I didn't experience the Japanese area as they swap them one for woman the other for men then they swap over. So you need to check which days they do this to be able to experience both. I went in golden week which was discounted to only 1000¥
  • Really enjoyable way to spend a few hours in Osaka. There are two themed area - Asia world & Europe. They alternate between male and female only every month. I was in Europe world and there was plenty to do including mud baths, salt sauna, plenty of pools, outdoor areas and options to get treatments when you’re inside.
