Showashinzan, Sobetsu-cho

3.9
#1 of 7 in Parks in Usu-gun
A relatively young addition to the area's landscape, Showashinzan was created naturally in 1943, after lava broke through the ground after a series of strong earthquakes. Today, the 398 m (1,306 ft) tall mountain, which often lets out volcanic steam, represents a major tourist attraction. Take the ropeway to the top of Mt. Usu, another area attraction, or enjoy the walking trail with panoramic vistas of the surrounding nature, Pacific Ocean, and Lake Toya. • Watching "tamori" last year (2017), visited. 0/1943-is a volcano 20 years, consisting of only two years, only a resume volcano in the world. Near the Postmaster can shinzan in personal customer is left to record. Surprise "disrepair when touristy" to invest his money, buying private land seems. There and is surrounded by tourist facilities such as parking mountain itself is solid in its natural state is now obsolete was touched by that record, of course, the only firm left is the height of the postal Bureau's (from the volcano should have). And, of course, watch at Showa-shinzan, amazed that powerful. It is fun 10 times ago we learn a little.

  • Take the cable car up the mountain to look far and wide, Toya Lake, snowy mountains look like a folding stand. 7 minutes after I got off from the top of the cable car, you can also view the walk to the crater.

  • Showa shinzan elevation 398 m in 1943 (0/1943), December 28, at the foot of Mt. Usu was plain formed volcano. Look on Red Mountain, once the soil is burned in the heat of the lava in hardened like a brick. And before the 📖 eruption activity round stone, lifted by a lava stone and taken to the River, and was buried in the basement of the plain, on the hillside of Showa-shinzan Kawahara because like rolling out of place once this area 90000 square meters East said in the vast upland region, Sobetsu River in a village named "HKAB". Village name comes to the salmon trout hatchery. Ranged around the idyllic countryside, but ceased to villages along the mountain ridge. Left its traces in USU protection and observation of the 📖 eruption left Pier traces of Japanese national railways Iburi line collapsed, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency assigned to volcano observation at all times. You can't enter without a special permit, and not allowed to. The Showa shinzan in 1943 (0/1943), from December 1945 (0/1945) for two years until September 17th active volcanic activity showed a lava dome. At that time during the second world war the world reeling from the withheld facts in the eruptions, couldn't do a public observation. Under such circumstances in the local postmaster Masao mimatsu, and create a detailed observations growing niiyama, and named after the "mimatsu diagram" was evaluated as a valuable resource. In addition, mimatsu, bought land has become, because of the support of people who lost homes and farms with protection of this precious world-wide volcanic mountains. For Showa-shinzan is mimatsu House private land, has become a volcano on White Island in New Zealand, and also in the world rare private land. • It's free to climb up towards the top of the mountain, 0/1955, such as Regulation No. Closer hand to fumaroles, touching on hot rocks, hot strong sulfur smell and shoe soles was amazing in my elementary school. Showed the Rocky reddish hem, but now that shoulder grows trees, enveloped in greenery of 43 mountain (approximately Miyama-Meiji-shinzan) will soon. Resilience of nature's wonders.
