Bring snorkeling gear to view interesting rock formations and the tiny minnows swimming around, or to explore the small half-cave underwater. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the spot (rarely crowded, except on Sundays), have a picnic, or try diving from the 4 m (12 ft) cliff into the deep water. We went with a group of like 12 of us and had a blast exploring and jumping off the cliff. It was hard to beat for $6.  more »

The two cenotes make up a great mid afternoon break. The smaller one allows you to get your feet nibbled on by the fish and then go snorkel in the larger cenote. Most people only swim or just jump off...  more »

This place is great! I had more fun here than in Dos Ojos. It's smaller but there's usually less people. More fish that nibble at your feet and an awesome platform from which you can jump off about 25ft into the water. It's open air instead of in a cave so there's plenty on sunshine. Definitely the highlight of my trip.

Beautiful spacious cenote perfect for swimming. They have a ledge where you can jump off into the water. The cenote also has tiny fishes that provide "pedicures" which was a fun experience. Life vest rental is included with your entry fee.

Lovely setting with lots of fish eager to exfoliate your feet and legs. Nice that it is frequented by many locals, however, I'm sure they don't pay quite as much the somewhat pricey $150 pesos (most likely the tourist rate).

Beautiful clear water, and lots of fish to keep you amused. Bring a snorkel and mask or rent one if you don't have one. Well worth it.

A great spot to spend a few hours. Bring your snorkel, towel and a lunch, this place is a great hangout to cool off. On weekends you'll find local families hanging out, but it can be much quieter during the weekdays. Take a jump off the small rock edge or even get a free pedicure from the little fish that nibble on your feet. Easy access right off the highway, spot in for a dip

Where to stay in Playa del Carmen

Look no farther than the shorefront if you're after a luxury hotel or resort with a swimming pool--some of the largest and most lavish options lie a few minutes from the town center, offering spacious settings and impeccable views over the water. The town center--especially the main street, Quinta Avenida--brims with smaller and more budget-friendly accommodations, a bit farther from the beach but just a stone's throw from a wide range of eateries and night spots.
