Xel-Ha, Riviera Maya

4.1
#2 of 718 in Parks in Mexico
A popular day-trip idea from Cancun, Xel-Ha combines water-based entertainment with tours of a historically significant archaeological site. This aquatic theme park, which calls itself a "natural aquarium," contains a section of a Maya settlement probably occupied until the 19th century. Named after the ancient town, the park offers a range of family-oriented activities. Swim with colorful fish, take long strolls through the jungle, ride bikes across the lush landscape once inhabited by the mighty Maya, or enjoy a leisurely river tour. Check the website for additional activities and take advantage of discounts by reserving your tickets in advance. • Loved this place! Free to snorkel anywhere you want, whopping park so it was never "overcrowded". Good restaurants. Much fish! We saw big stingrockorna and a huge barracuda! Worth every penny. Great for kids as well as adults. Able to swim is obviously a plus, but you had to have life jackets when the area to snorkel and swim around in is so large. There were other activities such as swimming with dolphins, ride a super fast boat or feed the stingrays could pay extra for, but we didn't do it and was really incredibly happy. You had to do all by herself and we thought was incredibly nice. A really cool system regarding the photo they had also, you blippade simply your bracelet at various locations where it sat for a camera. Camera photographed and at the end of the day, you could buy all the images if you wanted it. "We had our own underwater camera so we didn't do it but don't have it and are willing to pay a part so are ialf option. GO!!

  • It is a divine, very organized, the Bangle includes towels, equipment of snorkel, life jackets, lunch (very good) and locker. I went with my kids from 2 to 4 years who are enjoyed with the games that there are and for them there is also life in your size if you want to spend a little. Ubiquitous paseo.
