#4 of 19 in Nature in Tulum
Just 10 minutes from downtown Tulum, Casa Cenote boasts a natural open cavern fed by water that flows into the Caribbean Sea. Nestled above a large underground cave system and set in a scenic mangrove forest, the cenote offers a picturesque place to escape the heart. Swim in the vibrant turquoise water of the cenote, meandering among the mangrove trees, while millions of small tropical fish swim around you and colorful birds sing in the trees. • It's nice, but I would have liked that comment us that there is a part where it says "Beware, crocodile area!" My daughter got scared and wanted to go out... Also the cenotes semi - liked more closed. This was completely open... say it is ideal for diving.

  • Cenote open! The guide Jonathan was very nice. A bit expensive for the time spent but still a crush.

  • We spent a half day snorkelling and kayaking in the crystal clear water in front of Casa Cenote. The fresh water from the cenote enters the sea through a big opening where many fish can be seen. Casa Cenote is a great place for a drink during the day and atmospheric dinner at night. The food is delicious. It’s not cheap, but worth it. We loved the atmosphere and the views over the sea. Best thing: totally away from the crowds.
  • Very good view. Fast service. Good food and great drinks. Reasonable pricing. Excellent value for your money. We went to the near by cenote and after the visit we went to the restaurant. The staff was very nice and efficient. Everything we ordered was great.
  • Amazing place to do snoring or diving. It is beautiful you most visit this place if you come to Tulum. You won't regret coming to this place.... I highly recommended
  • Casa cenote had very beautiful clear water. There were lots of people swimming, snorkeling, and scuba diving at the time of our visit. There is also a small restaurant across from the cenote. This cenote was rather small but very enjoyable. The restrooms were horribly disgusting, use the one at the restaurant. It is not necessary to pay a guide to visit this cenote but they know the system and make it much easier by not having to figure everything out yourself along the way. Lots of beautiful underwater life to be seen.
  • This is truely the most beatiful hidden treasure of the coast between Playa and Tulum. Whereas most cenotes are property of hotels, or are incorporated in a commercial swimming pool, this cenote is nice and calm and with little pretentions. Do realise that when coming here, contrary to what Google maps suggests, you can only enter from the road close to Tulum and not from the road close to Playa. Avoid a detour! Also renting snorkeling gear there is possible, so no need to bring all the gear yourself.
