#1 of 6 in Things to do in Dibba Al Bay Ah
Cool off and take a dip in the clear waters of Bimmah Sink hole. The picturesque basin reaches 20 m (65 ft) at its deepest point, and was formed naturally due to erosion and the collapse of its limestone floor. Take some postcard-like shots of the vivid, emerald-colored water of the pool, go for a swim, or have a picnic on the tiny sinkhole beach. • Went here with my wife and a group of friends. It's well worth a visit and is a good place to cool off on the way to Wadi Shab. The only disappointing thing was that someone had crapped in it and ther...  more »
  • If you are on your way to Sur it's a good option for cooling off but frankly there are a ton of wadi's that beat it hands down if you are tight on time. Good news is that it is easy to find and you ca...  more »
  • I went there last Sept. 2017. The sinkhole can be easily located using a GPS or google maps. The omani government made a park surrounding it so there's enough place for family and sight seers to rest....  more »

  • Great place! Beautiful little swimming spot in the middle of nowhere. Free entry and tons for kids to do stuff. Had a blast swimming, cooling off and jumping off the rocks. Good place to come and hang out with the family. Not much space down in the sinkhole but plenty up top. I enjoyed it!
  • I enjoyed the route to this place more than the place itself. With too many people swimming in this small area i don't think it is hygiene at all to swim there Also there is a big room for development. For example there are no restaurants at all. There are no shops selling any thing. Only a place with fence in the middle of the desert The view is good and the stair to the sink hole is steep with very high steps.
  • It's a must for all Oman visitors. It's a superb place and fascinating place in South Sharquiyah region of Oman. It's very close to the sea coast and a natural spring formed with mountain backdrop, having very clean water. Good for having a dip and swim. It's also called Bimmah sinkhole. There are steps to go down to reach the water. It is wonderful surprise to have such a hole in middle of nowhere. It has got a park in addition to the sink hole, where one can relax and picnic. It was also told that it is formed due to the fall of an asteroid long time ago.
  • Lovely place to go with friends and family. Water is little salty but it is not annoying. You can swim and enjoy diving as well. There is a park also with swings for kids and shelters to stay beneath for refreshments. It is a self created hole by the reaction of calcium carbonate and lime stone... Good for photographers.
  • Nice place. It's like huge well with beautiful blue colour water. Can swim and enjoy good time. There is good huge park for spending leisure time. Located near sea with good breeze and level place to walk around spend for few hours. Have to take your food. There are good nomber of hut like places to sit and have your food
