  • We were at 8 o'clock in the morning there and have gone as first in the empty mosque. Very impressed by the chandelier and the rest is well worth seeing. Come be sure early in the morning to avoid the crowds.

  • The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is what I believe one of the most beautiful and breathtaking places I've ever been to. It's a spectacle to the eye and so clean and well maintained. Everything about it just so amazing. The main dome is just beautiful. I'll add a few pictures to show this amazing place :)
  • One of the most beautiful modern mosque as compared over the world. The mosque features a blend of Islamic, Middle Eastern, and Omani architectural styles, hosts one of the world’s largest handmade Persian rugs and one of the world’s biggest crystal chandeliers. It has been constructed in the way of accommodate 20,000 worshippers. If you come to oman don't miss to visit this mosque once at least and better to visit morning session before 11.00am. Visitors should dress up conservatively especially woman should cover their hair, shoulders and arms while they are inside.
  • The mosque is big and beautiful. Inside and outside. Worth a visit. Open for visitor (non muslim) 8.30 am until 11 am everyday except Friday. Iranian style carpet ( hand woven by 600 women for four years).
  • It is a Architectural marvel reflecting Omani and Islamic style of art and architecture, it’s also very peaceful place surrounded by a beautiful garden and plenty of greenery and flowers, a must visit place.
  • Most serene place I've ever been to. Check out the interior detaily! Visit the library too!
