  • In my opinion, everyone should visit this place one time. Very touching moments, especially a loud voice from the radio distraction you can Ciara ... greeting cards calendar is an excellent idea to go back to memories of your stay for many days.

  • one of the best made and opinion-making Museum in which I was. A very difficult subject shown in a very modern way. Everyone odwiedzajacy Warsaw should or even must see if you would like to understand what happened in Warsaw in 1944.

  • During my stay in Warsaw, I wanted to visit at least a museum. The choice fell on the Museum of the Warsaw Uprising. Note I would like to, that I am very interested in history and visits regularly such facilities in the country and abroad. The Museum of the Warsaw Uprising offered me three reasons that let me briefly consider, again returns to make right at the entrance. 1. too many visitors: Admittedly expect but in August. 2. no audio guide available: I wanted this due to the reviews here on TripAdvisor but necessarily, because it was indicated, that the Museum to the understanding requires either a guide or an audio guide. In my opinion you can not tons of visitors let and for keep obviously far too few audio guides. Ugly anecdote in passing: the really friendly Lady on the issue said it was hard to assess whether the next audio guides would be brought back in 5 or 20 minutes. I decided to wait a few minutes and have prominently posted me at the counter. A Polish visitor came shortly thereafter and probably received the same information. However 2 audio guides came back at that moment, that later were leave to arrived and not to me what quite annoyed me. 3. konzeptlose exhibition: and indeed I was then more or less kicked without audio-guide. The exhibition is so chastised that man has even bother properly to comply with the order. The crowds also ensured that I could see only the exhibits and explanations (only in Polish and English), where something happened less. Bottom line: Zero insight. Poorly and not sufficiently my rating is only as the idea for a Museum of this kind would be of course very good. I would finally like to mention two points: 1 totally abruptly at the end of the exhibition by current special units of the Polish Army in great detail reports including an exaggerated display of their weapons. That has here in my opinion No, especially since... 2.... many children on the road are what should be not allowed in my opinion. Neither the weapons nor the film contributions, which show clearly the shootings and bodies, are suitable for children's eyes. Because many parents obviously have no problem (it was even with pushchair on the way), an age limit should necessarily be introduced.

  • Very well detailed. One of the best museums I've ever been with a lot of interactive applications. It is both intense and respectful for the history. My only but would be that sometimes there's even too much information. If you want to pass through it lightly, you'll miss many things. Would need half a day at least to cover everything.
  • One of the newest museums in Warsaw. It is dedicated to Warsaw Uprising in 1944 and tells the story of 63 days of resistance. It is very well organized place but of course topic is not funny. The route guides you through the time and tells the story how the fights evolved. It is well communicated with the city and you can use subway M2 line and make a short walk.
  • Very interesting museum detailing the story of the 1944 Warsaw uprising. Well worth a visit when visiting the city. There's lots to see so make sure you have a few hours to spare if you plan on reading most of the information.
  • Extremely confusing layout. Difficult to read bits and pieces of information. No overview of historical context at the beginning. Ended up reading a Wikipedia article for some clarity. Too much focus on making museum look pretty rather than actually educating visitors.
  • Great interactive insight about the uprising. You need some time to go through it all though, and rent one of the audio devices if you would like to know more than just reading what is written on the wall. Sunday entry if free of charge.

Where to stay in Warsaw

Many centrally located hotels in Warsaw cater mostly to business travelers, which makes them much too expensive for backpackers and other visitors on a limited budget. Although hostels may seem like the only affordable option at the height of the season, you can find less expensive lodgings in mid-range hotels on the outskirts of town. Alternatively, time your visit for the weekend, when many hotels near the city center slash their prices and offer special deals for early booking.
