  • This museum is a must to understand the history of the city of Warsaw during World War II. Museum interactive enough, done décor that we felt to be the streets of Warsaw. The audio guide in french is essential. Attention to the meaning of the visit which is not very well sign posted. Similarly feel free to go in the corners, to push the doors and get behind the curtains because the parts that are behind are not always indicated.

  • Well thought out and moving, The museum is large, and will take a few hours to do a thorough tour. All exhibits carry English translation too, and film clips have subtitles.  more »
  • The museum works on different levels - for the amateur WW2 historian it is a must because of the archive footage - personal commentaries - historical items and memorabilia. However also very interesti...  more »

  • It is one of the best museums about the second worldwide war. The feelings that it brings to his visitors are unique... There are videos, photos, vehicles, even a half aircraft at the bottom ... You have to visit it. I recommend you! On Sunday the entrance is free. It is open from 10:00 - 18:00. The day we visited it, there were many visitors.
  • The Warsaw Uprising Museum is an absolute must if you are in Warsaw. I went on a Sunday when entry was free but I'd go again and pay, it's definitely worth it! Everything has English translations and the staff are helpful. The 3D flight over the ruins of Warsaw in 1945 is a highlight
  • A very interesting museum. It gives a good overview about what happened. Most is also in English available but not everything. However, it was not a problem for me. Furthermore, Sunday free access so it can a bit crowded on Sunday
  • This is a very elaborate museum with an abundance of information about the Warsaw Uprising. The story of the Polish revolt against the Nazi occupation is told in incredible detail, in almost day by day recounts of the lead up, the uprising itself, the continued battles to remain free, through to the downfall, collapse and onwards into the post-war communist period as part of the Soviet Union. While the amount of information is ample, it takes a considerable amount of personal effort to inform yourself about this story. Most (if not all) exhibits are printed and must be read. Of course as somebody interested in history I have no qualms with reading so much, but it can be very exhausting to spend several hours doing so. The interactive exhibits are nice, and there should certainly be more. Although the newsreels are fantastic, it's not clear when what starts or how long it will take to view them. There are a handful of games, but all are slightly disappointing. For instance the Morse code console has so much potential to actually attempt typing a message in Morse code, but it's too simple and simply follows a linear story line. I unfortunately didn't have time to see the IMAX movie. The corridors (especially at the entrance) are fairly narrow and clearly don't accommodate the many tourists even in the off-season. It may be extremely crowded and chaotic in the summer. Something I really miss, is a clear path through the museum. It would be helpful if the outline of the story was told at the entrance to give a basis through which visitors could deepen their knowledge by following the story chronologically. I did not receive a museum map with my ticket, this certainly would have been useful. The design of the museum doesn't effectively use the space. The entrance is cluttered and chaotic, while the middle of the museum is a great open space with an almost randomly placed 1:1 replica of a British bomber. The cafe is a bit tucked away and tiny, but very cute with a great selection of drinks and bites. I feel that this museum has a lot of potential to do better, but I nevertheless enjoyed my visit very much.
  • Amazing museum with so much information! Good location and easy to get to. Reasonably priced. I did find the direction on the tour a little confusing, not sure if we went the right way but so much information it didn’t matter. Also a lot of large tour groups which made it difficult to read some information as they stood in the way, but if your patient they move eventually. As there was so much information, it makes for a lot of reading, might have been easier with an audio guide but still really enjoyed it!
