  • Exquisite collection of art by a Spanish painter. What is interesting is the large variety of other art he collected in his house, such as furniture, clothing, sculptures and pottery. This is a tiny place, so you'll only need about an hour, but a good tip is to then spend another hour in the gorgeous little garden, which is very peaceful and beautiful.
  • A small but beautiful collection, nicely curated in a house that's Sorollo once painted in. There may be other great Sorolla's in other museums, but it is worth coming here to see this house, the furnishings and the paintings in it. The gardens are also beautiful and are worth spending some time in. Admission for senior citizens is free and there is reduced or free admission for other groups as well. If you like these paintings they offer Fine Art reproductions which they will print for you. Because of the large number of paintings hung on the wall in the main three rooms it is not possible to see some of them very well. However the museum does have descriptions on laminated cards of the paintings and the furnishings and this helps. The museum is open on some evenings until 8 p.m. and is not crowded then. You could certainly come there in the evening and spend 2 hours, from 6 to 8 and you would have seen everything. It is not a museum you need to plan a whole day on.
  • Beautiful house turned into museum. Sorolla is an amazing artist and here you get a closer look at his life. A must!
  • It is one of Madrid hidden gems. Well maintained museum. Nice collection of Sorollas paints.
  • Loved this small museum. Beautiful paintings, pretty tiles. A very intimate look at the house Sorolla lived and worked in.
