  • Not necessarily on our list of priorities in terms of visiting the capital but a nice surprise this Egyptian temple is an almost magical place in the sunset, on the heights of a nice Park! To discover

  • The problem is that if you don't know what you think you're going to see a temple as in Egypt. It is not so, we are in madrid. It is a monument that must see but more important are the views from the Park toward the House field, Royal Palace and almudena Cathedral. To stroll quietly through the area in impegnarse of the different types of people, singing people listen to music, ect. If you do not want to enjoy this kind of thing better not go to visit him.

  • Great spot! Not only you can relax in the park, have picnic, play with the kids etc... but if you are lucky, you might be able let inside the temple. When I was there it was closed even though the opening hours on board told something different... guards were just saying to everybody that its closed so do not rely on getting inside even during opening hours... Not sure why... anyways the building itself is from outside really interesting including both pools (in front of and behind the temple too). Highly recommended!!
  • A definite must see! Quick stroll to reach after the Royal Palace. Lovely sight at sunset as it was recommended to us. The inside of the temple was closed when we got there so if you need to see that check times. The guards were still allowing people to walk around the structures. So, that was perfect for us. There's also a fountain behind the temple, and path that leads to a nice little view.
  • A must-see sight--a quick walk from the Royal Palace or Sabatini Gardens. Depending on the time of year, it's wonderful at sunset--otherwise, come early to avoid the lines. Visits limited to 30 minutes total, including time spent in the temple itself.
  • Amazing place! Old egipcian temple in the centre of Madrid. During the night the views are amazing however is not possible to visit the interior, which is also very recommended.
  • Gorgeous Egyptian temples. We saw that it was supposed to be closed on Monday so went on a Tuesday but it appeared to be closed then as well despite the information sign stating otherwise.

Where to stay in Madrid

The Spanish capital is known for its array of distinct neighborhoods each with its own appeal. An affordable and easy-to-navigate metro system, which makes it is easy to get around Madrid gives you more flexibility in choosing where to stay. Perhaps the most popular choice is Puerta del Sol, the heart of the city center and one of the main tourist attractions with its numerous shops, affordable hotels, and restaurants. Close by is Gran Via street, one of the city's main arteries, which is also home to a number of hotels. A short walk from here is Plaza España where the city's most iconic landmarks lie, including the Royal Palace and the Teatro Royal. For somthing outside the traditional tourist areas, consider staying in La Latina or Malasaña, two bohemian neighborhoods that offer a wide range of eclectic shops, quaint cafes, and lively bars.
