  • A must-see, World Heritage place. A huge building, library, Chapel, Pantheon, patios, halls, gardens... in which Miss leaving you amazed by beauty, architecture or history that follows the place. I chose to tour and was really satisfied. The guide was really good. For just € 4 is worth considering it, since it offers enjoyable and interesting explanations of the main points of this monastery. An awesome place.

  • You can buy only or also with guide. The visit lasts like 2 hours approximately, have to climb several flights of stairs.

  • We arrived at 18, 2 hours from close and from the beginning all were rushing to close. It is assumed that it closes at 8 and half an hour before already you could not see anything because the officers on duty refused to meet the schedule. In addition friendly and service security with very bad manners. It's a shame because the monastery was beautiful and well preserved.

  • I loved this place it's a work of art. Fresco work is so realistic I was wowed and trust me I travel and lot and except Rome I have never been impressed, so u have to c this place. Ticket cost u only 5€ per person. It's a bit out city but worth the drive. Another draw back they don't let u take pictures
  • Having planned a half day trip to San Lorenzo was actually one of the best days I've had in Madrid!! I recommend to take a 1h bus ride from Moncloa, it stops very close to Monastery unlike a train... The complex is truly beautiful, it worth lending an audio guide. I spent approximately 2h there. After monastery you can spend some time in well maintained gardens... Who is not in hurry to take a bus again to get back to Madrid center probably a nice walk through Prince's Gardens will take you close to lovely royal pavilion Casita del Principe. From there it's just few steps to train. I truly enjoyed this trip!!!
  • It's very large, but it's also kinda just stone corridor after stone corridor interspersed with some nice paintings and a pretty library and nice frescoes. Also, they make absolutely no mention of the Inquisition despite this being the headquarters of it. That's pretty dishonest in my opinion. Overall, see it if you're in the area, but don't go out if your way to see it if you're not.
  • Wonderful place. I recommend to get the guided tour and go there early and enjoy the rest of the day in the town. The tour is about 2 hours, fantastic! 10€ the entrance + 4€ for the guided tour.
  • A historic site where Phillip II made world changing decisions. It was an easy trip by bus from Madrid, around €12 for the round trip. It would have been better with a guide (so much stuff inside) but I was jammed for time. Per local rules, no pictures inside (big bummer but I obliged)
