Museum-lovers will get to explore Edo-Tokyo Museum and Tokyo National Museum. Do your shopping at Tsukiji Market and Ginza. Have a day of magic on the 20th (Sun) at Tokyo Disneyland. Johannesburg, South Africa to Tokyo is an approximately 27-hour combination of car and flight. The time zone difference when traveling from Johannesburg to Tokyo is 7 hours. While traveling from Johannesburg, expect somewhat warmer days and much hotter nights in Tokyo, ranging from highs of 35°C to lows of 32°C. Nijo Castle and Kiyomizu-dera will appeal to history buffs. Fushimi Inari Taisha and Sanjusangendo Temple are good opportunities to explore the local culture. When in Osaka, make a side trip to see Gion in Kyoto, approximately 1 hour away. The adventure continues: get in on the family fun at Universal Studios Japan and wander the streets of Dotonbori.

Start off your visit on the 26th (Sat): snap pictures at Irabu Bridge and then enjoy the sand and surf at Sunayama Beach. Keep things going the next day: enjoy the sand and surf at Yonaha Maehama Beach, kick back and relax at Aragusuku Beach, and then contemplate the waterfront views at Yabiji.
