  • Great park. I wish they didn't completely remove all the lower trails when they updated it. Gift shop hours are so little I barely cross paths with it when open. Staff is informative and friendly. This park has always been a favorite. I do not agree with the paid fee for the Christmas light fiesta. If you know the park there are lots of ways you can sneak in. It use to be fun to explore the park to find them here and there. Now they're crammed in a tight area. Kind of looses the uniqueness feeling.
  • I went in late January and while the main garden areas were a bit bare, it was still a lot of fun to see the evergreen plants and read all of the information. I'm sure it will be absolutely beautiful in the Spring. The highlight of my late winter trip was The Ravine Experience starting with the very cool suspension bridge. It gave you the feeling of hiking through a relatively untouched forest and was a great way to get a quick dose of nature in on a drizzly Sunday afternoon. I would definitely recommend checking out this beautiful (and free!) community space.
  • A great medium sized botanical garden. Everything seems to grow in Seattle, so there is a huge variety of plants. Many Camelias were blooming, even in March. Lots of small trails and some longer ones. A really fun place to run - even a few hills!
  • 36 acre gem of a botanical garden. Several different types of gardens, each with their own aesthetic, ranging from a traditional perennial flower bed to a Japanese-style garden to a walk through the woods (on the other side of a ravine crossed by a beautiful suspension bridge). You rarely feel like you're in Bellevue - there's traffic noise in one section but it's pretty minimal. Some native wildlife (mostly birds; sometimes I've ever seen owls), but it's the plants that are the stars, of course. Lovely place for a walk any time of year. Free admission, free parking, open almost every day. No dogs. Small gift shop on site, plus a small coffee shop.
  • Great light display during holidays Loved the holiday lights. Nice shop with cute outdoor themed items. Hot drinks for sale to keep warm while exploring. Great variety of light displays. Enjoyed looking for all the hidden items in the brochure. Got in cheap with a groupon. Will be back during the day and other seasons.
