  • A beautiful museum to be sure! Many eras and artists represented from around the world. The Native American art is some of the best I have seen. My only complaint would be that for many important artists, one piece was “enough” apparently. The facility is a donation only access, except for the current “Special” show which was too pricey for me considering it was a rather small retrospective of that particular artist. Nonetheless, this is a great place to visit, bring the kids and learn about some great artists and their work.
  • Went here for the first time to see the Wyeth Exhibit and was very impressed! Lots of artwork in addition to the exhibit, and I could have spent the entire day looking at the wonderful pieces of art. My favourite pieces were the African tribal masks on display.
  • Great museum, takes donations so doesn't turn people away. Cool exhibits, a handful of famous paintings but could use a few more big ones. Beautiful interior and right smack in the middle of downtown so you can access other spots.
  • Saw a great exhibit here. Parking was easy. I removed two stars due to the multiple calls I kept getting, even at work, trying to get me to join. Took several times requesting them to quit calling before they did.
  • Medium size: 2 floors fully packed of above average art work. That room-of-plates is as great as you see in pic. Another important thing is parking: week days the museum building garage is not free(cannot be validated neither). I paid 22. But the staff said another garage can be validated so call them to find the direction. Store is also good. I’m sure you can find something interesting there. Friendly and fun staff.

Where to stay in Seattle

Famous for its architecture, Seattle's downtown area features a range of lodging options, including high-end hotels offering expensive rooms with views over Elliott Bay. Remember that despite their prices, many hotels in this waterfront district provide rather small rooms. If you need more space but don't want to break the bank, head out of downtown to some of the city's outlying neighborhoods. Seattle's diverse suburbs offer affordable bed and breakfasts, providing you with all the comforts of home and allowing you to see what local life is really like.
