  • I expected this trip to cost more, but it was totally worth the cost. I would highly recommend on clear day to anyone visiting from out of time! Great sights! the line moved pretty quickly too!  more »
  • I have always wanted to try the great wheel. My husband is terrified of heights however he agreed!! The ride is very smooth nothing like the carnival The views are beautiful. I think we went around 5 ...  more »
  • It was worth the $14 to ride the Great Wheel. It did not feel rushed, it was a comfortable ride and speed and I had enough time to appreciate the views from a great vantage point.  more »

  • We have gone on the Great Wheel a few times as a family. The lines moved pretty fast. the price isn't too crazy and it's worth the great views of the sound and also the Seattle City skyline. The height of the wheel is 175 feet which is quite tall and offers you great views. The cars also have heat and AC for your comfort.
  • This is a really fun experience. A bit pricey so if you're looking for reasonable skip this one. But if you're looking for something fun for the kids and you don't mind the price the trip is slow Around The Bay great views and a fun little attraction. Don't expect this to be like other great Wheels, it has its own little flares you can't really stand up in it and if you're looking for professional photos this is not the way to go. But again if you want to impress your little ones with a really fun safe ride with great views this is a thing to do.
  • Great date place! I recommend going in the morning. Not as crowded! And the colors are so vibrant in the early morning rays. You get to see practically the entire city. It’s mesmerizing to be on the top! The price was fair. Get tickets online if you can. You’ll get a discount. The experience is quick, but not too quick. It’s just fast enough for you to enjoy all the sights, take pictures, and pause while admiring it all. Be sure to go enjoy the markets and piroshky’s nearby!
  • Great views and experience. One of the best Seattle landmarks and a must-see when in Seattle. Go up at night to enjoy the lights. The wait lines can be long, so be prepared. Take a camera to shoot from a nice vantage point up there. The ride is not that long, as you'll go around just a couple times. Enjoy the visit!
  • Gorgeous view. If you are party 4 or less, the chances or getting a booth on your own is difficult, you might have to share the booth with someone else. Sit facing the sun, so you can get better selfies, else the sun will be at your back bleaching the pictures. The view on your left facing the sun provides an excellent opportunity for a beautiful picture of the city.

Where to stay in Seattle

Famous for its architecture, Seattle's downtown area features a range of lodging options, including high-end hotels offering expensive rooms with views over Elliott Bay. Remember that despite their prices, many hotels in this waterfront district provide rather small rooms. If you need more space but don't want to break the bank, head out of downtown to some of the city's outlying neighborhoods. Seattle's diverse suburbs offer affordable bed and breakfasts, providing you with all the comforts of home and allowing you to see what local life is really like.
