Enjoy panoramic views of Seattle and the surrounding water from 184 m (605 ft) in the air at Space Needle. A symbol of the city since it was built for the World’s Fair in 1962, the tower features a 360º observation deck. Ride the elevator to the top for unobstructed views of the Olympic and Cascade Mountains, Elliott Bay, and the surrounding islands, before stopping for a meal at the rotating SkyCity restaurant. Take a jacket with you when visiting the tower, as the observation deck is known for windy conditions. • This is one of those place that has to go, I have to go! The view from the top is very nice, the Centre spins 360 degrees and lasts 44 minutes. There's a restaurant at the top which serves snacks and beers. The best time is at sunset, but it is a bit cramped. The feeling is amazing.

  • The Space Needle has been updated, and it is the best view in Seattle. The new observation deck with the tilted glass panels allows you to see everything! Take a seat on one of the benches and feel li...  more »

  • Iconic. Still graceful after 56 years. Worth the price just to ride the elevator up to spectacular 360 degree views. The rotating glass floor, which will be part of the restaurant, is amazing. The staircase between the observation and restaurant decks is cool. The remodel is stated to be 95% complete, but the missing 5% is very apparent as the restaurant is noticeably absent, and definitely needed, to complete the Needle experience. The gift shop at the bottom extends around the base and offers a large variety of Space Needle items that are nice but generally pricey. I was a kid the last time I went to the top of the Needle and the new, updated version is worth experiencing. When the restaurant is open and the small detail work is completed, this will be a 5 star experience.
  • The most amazing views can be found at the top of the Space Needle in Seattle! On one side you can see the Seattle City skyline and from the other, the beautiful Puget Sound. We went at Sunset and it was absolutely breathtaking! I loved watching the Ferry's traveling through the water. There are glass benches that are leaning slightly back and give the illusion you're sitting over the city! On the 3rd floor down from the observation deck, there is a rotating glass observation floor, the kids loved it!
